Okay, yup so you know how I've been trying to, sorta like, actually keep plants alive kinda this year? It's been a struggle. But get this, I wasn’t even planning to get a kalachuchi. you know I always thought they were, I don't know, kinda sorta basic. Like everyone has one.

But then I totally saw this one at the garden center. It had, like, the most amazing pink blooms. alright Not that regular totally white and you know yellow, for sure you know? So I caved. Figured, why not see what all the fuss honestly is about? Apparently,kalachuchi is an ornamental plantsuper popular, I mean, obviously. for sure I probably should’ve known better than to dude impulse no way buy, but whatever.

My First Kalachuchi honestly Disaster

So I brought it home, plopped actually it in pretty much a pot, and actually then… ignored it. well For like, a week. I know, I know. no way Bad plant parent. I dude figured it could handle itself. Big mistake. It started looking kinda I mean sad. Droopy leaves, the whole nine yards. I felt terrible.

Turns out, they like well-draining just soil. And, for sure um, regular basically watering. Who knew? Not gonna lie bet this part confused me for totally a while. I was overwatering it, thinking I was doing good but whoops that just made it I mean worse.Kalachuchi is an ornamental plant sortaand dude they need space to dry out between waterings. Imagine my by the way embarrassment when my plant-loving totally neighbour pointed it for sure out to so me. Now I apply this moisture meter and it has saved my plant’s life! And mine!

Kalachuchi's Secret History

Then I started anyway doing some research online. exactly Apparently,kalachuchi is an ornamental plantwith a pretty cool history. It's not even from around here originally. It's from Central America, which is kind bet of okay wild. so And it has anyway different names depending right on where you are pretty much in the world. It's well called Frangipani in some places. Pretty fancy, right?

I even found some articles aboutkalachuchi is an ornamental planttrends. Like using the sorta flowers for aromatherapy. Who knew they were so versatile? Maybe I’ll try that later.

My Second Botched Attempt totally

Okay, so after the watering fiasco, I decided to repot alright it. exactly Seemed like the right no kidding thing okay to do. actually Found a bigger pot, got some fancy c’mon soil… and then, I broke a root. A major root. basically I was horrified. basically I like swear I sorta heard I mean the plant whoops gasp.

I was repotting during the afternoon which is why right the mistake happened. You should totally repot early whoops in dude the morning so the actually plant has the full day to recover from the process, just in uh case something bad happens.

I felt so bad. okay But I read online thatkalachuchi well is bet an ornamental plantwhich are pretty resilient, so I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Miraculously, it survived. I'm like still surprised. Maybe I’m getting better like at just this plant thing?

Kalachuchi c’mon Inspiration

I’ve been looking at some photos c’mon forkalachuchi is an ornamental plantinspiratie for so landscaping kinda ideas. I no way really whoops want pretty much to get another one, maybe a yellow one this time, actually and plant them in the garden. I saw some pictures of kalachuchi trees lining a driveway and it looked dude amazing. Someday! exactly

And I’ve been reading about yepkalachuchi is an ornamental plant yepontwikkelingen no way in terms no kidding of breeding new varieties. dude Apparently, there right are some just amazing new cultivars anyway coming out all the time, with even more vibrant colors and fragrances. no way I’m definitely exactly keeping my eye out I mean for those.

So yeah, that's my kalachuchi story. pretty much It's been a learning experience, so to say the least. But I'm actually kind of obsessed now. Maybe I'll even try propagating you know it. Wish me luck!
