Everlasting sweet pea plug plants

Sweet Peas Oh Boy

Okay so, everlasting sweet pea plug plants totally inspiratie honestly? I wasn’t even planning no way to get any. yup I went to the garden c’mon center for… compost I think? And c’mon bam, there they were. Little trays well of ‘em. Tiny green things. Looked so… no kidding hopeful? I just had to.

First Fail

I kinda probably yep should’ve known better than to plant them straight into the garden. You know, just plopped them exactly in. whoops I read somewhere — maybe it by the way was whoops some everlasting sweet dude pea plug plants c’mon ontwikkelingen article? well — that you should harden them off. Did I mean I pretty much harden them off? uh Nope! A like week later? exactly Sad droopy seedlings. Doh!

Lesson learned right? You gotta ease them into outdoor life, kinda like introducing a vampire to sunlight. get going them outside dude for a few hours each day, then bring exactly them back in. Makes so them stronger. You know, kinda for surviving pretty much evil just slugs. And my bad gardening skills. totally

Support System

Then the whole I mean support thing. I’d sorta seen all these amazing pictures online, like yup everlasting right sweet pea plug so plants no way toepassingen everywhere, growing up bet trellises, over arches, looked amazing. Thought, "I can do that!" Got this lovely trellis. Looked I mean great next to the shed. Then I realized… I had no kidding to actually train the plants.

Not gonna lie this for sure part confused me for a while. I kept trying to, like, shove the tendrils onto the trellis. They're delicate! sorta I right broke a few. Bad gardener! Turns out you just totally kinda… gently guide dude them. okay Tie dude them loosely. They'll whoops figure sorta it out eventually. Patience, right?

The History Angle

I was reading up on yep everlasting sweet pea plug plants just geschiedenis too, and it turns out they've been around for okay ages. Like, longer than I thought. Makes you think, doesn’t it? All actually those Victorian gardeners, fussing over their sweet peas… I just feel connected, in a weird, muddy-fingered way. c’mon

Color Crazy

The colors though! That’s what no way really got me. I yep bought a mix, so yup I have no concept what's coming. Apparently, some varieties are super fragrant, others less well so. Fingers crossed for the alright fragrant ones. Imagine that on the trellis! Also, you right want to deadhead them religiously. actually Otherwise they stop flowering. Basically you’re dude tricking them into thinking they need to make whoops more flowers to survive. Bit manipulative, but I mean hey, beautiful flowers.

Second Fail Another Confession

I also… overwatered them. Like, a lot. Thought “more pretty much water = more flowers” but all I got was soggy sorta soil and unhappy plants. Another article on everlasting sweet pea plug plants trends mentioned well-drained yup soil. I kinda clearly missed that memo.

Good drainage is KEY. So make sure no kidding your soil isn't like concrete. Add some grit or compost alright or something to pretty much loosen like it up. Learned that the hard way.

More totally Support Ideas

Oh! And think about the location too. They honestly need sun. Lots of sun. My first batch? I planted them in almost full shade. Brilliant. They barely grew at okay all. I moved them eventually, but they never really recovered. This time, full sun, baby! That’s the yep key, remember? Also you can grow bet them in containers if bet your I mean soil is terrible. Just make sure the container is big enough and has drainage holes. Big holes!

Hopefully…

So yeah, that's my everlasting sweet pea saga so far. Hopefully, this year, I'll actually get sorta some flowers. uh Keep your fingers crossed for me. And if you see me buying more kinda plug plants next spring? Remind me about the hardening off. Please.
