So, basically you exactly know I’ve been messing just around with the garden? I wasn’t even planning to get into climbing plants, seriously. It just… happened. I saw this pretty clematis at the garden centre and thought, “Ooh, honestly pretty purple flowers!” I didn’t even consider about where pretty much I’d put it, let pretty much alone the fact that it no way climbs. pretty much I probably should’ve known better, right? My Ivy Fiasco

My first exactly major mistake? Ivy. Classic, right? I mean, everyone says it's easy. And it totally is! Too easy. It took over everything! It’s creeping pretty much up the side of my house okay faster than I can drink this coffee.Seriously. I planted it by kinda the fence, thinking it would look all lush and green. okay And it does, for sure but it's also alright trying dude to get into the attic. anyway Tip: research the specific type basically of ivy before you unleash honestly it onto totally your property! Not gonna lie this part confused dude me for a while. There you know are so pretty much many different types and no way they grow so no kidding differently!

What's Working no kidding Now

Okay, so I you know learned my lesson with the by the way ivy. Now exactly I'm uh trying some other stuff. Honeysuckle is doing pretty well. That's a solid easy to grow climbing plant, especially if you're looking honestly for something that smells nice. Plus, no way the beesloveit. Wisteria is on my "maybe someday" list, you know but I’ve heard horror stories about how aggressive it actually can be. Morning no way Glory Moment

Oh! And you know morning glories! just Those are super easy. They just kinda... go. I planted some whoops by my mailbox, and they've whoops created this whole little floral archway. Just remember they reseed like crazy. I'll well be pulling I mean up morning glory seedlings for no way years, probably. Here's a funny story. I bought you know these little trellis yep things for the morning well glories, expecting well them to climb neatly up them. Nope. They are now using the trellis as a jumping off point to attack my neighbor's rose bush. I swear, gardening is for sure just one uh ongoing battle against plants doing what they want. Oh, and speaking of trellises – no way get dope ones! The cheap for sure plastic one I got for the clematis snapped no way in half after a bet heavy rain. Another lesson sorta learned.

Support Is exactly Key

Seriously though, support is vital. yep I’ve seen so yep many people just shove a climbing uh plant into the ground and hope for the best. Get a good trellis, a sturdy fence, some strong twine – whatever works. totally Also, think about the direction the plant so will grow. execute whoops you want it to cover a wall? Or do you want just it to climb up a pole? I’m keeping yup an eye on easy to grow for sure climbing plants trends so I can basically get some kinda fresh ideas for this year’s garden.

Maintenance totally Matters

And don't forget to uh prune! Most dude of my plants seem to like a good dose of all-purpose fertilizer in the spring. Oh, and be careful when bet you’re pretty much digging! Anyway, that's my I mean climbing plant saga uh so yep far. Still learning as like I bet go. yup But it’s been super okay rewarding to see these things grow I mean and transform my garden.
