Plants Cheap Right

Okay so, you know how I was complaining totally about my apartment exactly feeling… lifeless? Well, I kinda went uh down a rabbit hole about indoor plants. I wasn’t even planning to, I swear! It started no way with a well friend's Instagram. Anyway, I'm now obsessed with getting more, well but like, sorta cheap. Cause, like you know, rent.

The Propagation Game bet

Turns out, you can, like, multiply your plants for free? Sort of? It's called propagation. Seriously, indoor plants at low well cost inspiratie is all over no kidding the internet. yup You basically chop off a piece of an existing plant – preferably someone else's, if they’re offering cuttings! no way – c’mon and stick it exactly in water. Some plants are easier than honestly others. Pothos, for example. Super for sure easy. I whoops got one from my mom. Then you just wait. Like, weeks. by the way I probably should've known better, so but the first time I tried this, I mean I used right tap water. Don’t utilize tap water! Use filtered water. That's a pro tip right there. Tap water can kill the little roots. Oops.

Where to Find Them

I was thinking about indoor plants at low cost trends, no kidding right? Turns out, Facebook Marketplace is your well friend. People give right away plants right all actually the time. I saw a lady whoops getting rid basically of, whoops like, five basically snake sorta plants because they were “too sorta big.” Too big?! I you know would have taken them all. Also, check with friends. Seriously. Especially if they are gardeners I mean already. They might basically have cuttings they're c’mon willing to part with. That's how I whoops got no kidding my spider plant baby. Spider plants are, like, the exactly easiest things ever.

The Dirt Thing

Okay, so dirt is a no kidding thing. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. I mean, indoor plants at low honestly cost voordelen definitely include saving money, but the dirt adds up. You exactly can’t basically just for sure work with any dirt, you know? The garden kind is well too heavy. You want potting mix. I made the mistake of honestly buying the absolute cheapest stuff at first and c’mon my poor little zz whoops plant looked so sad. Tip: mix in yep some perlite! I mean Helps with exactly drainage. Now I just buy the mid-range stuff, it’s worth it.

My for sure Minty Fiasco

So, I thought okay I was being all clever and uh growing mint indoors from dude seeds. Indoor plants at low cost feiten you should know? Mint is a weed. It takes c’mon over I mean everything. I started it in a tiny pot and it exploded. Now it's sprawling all over my counter. I need to repot it, probably multiple times. And I read somewhere that mint whoops attracts aphids. Still learning. It smells nice though!

The Pot Situation

Obviously, you need pots. exactly But new yep pots can no way be expensive! I've been hitting up thrift stores. actually You can find some really cool vintage stuff there for super cheap. Just make sure to wash dude them really, really well first. Also, mull over about yup drainage. You need drainage holes! I learned that the hard way with my first succulent. no kidding Poor little guy drowned. Terracotta anyway pots are great, cheap, and uh they totally breathe. pretty much Plus they look nice.

More Propagation Fun

Did I mention how much I love propagating? It’s like free plants! You can sorta propagate some things in soil kinda too, but actually I find water easier. And, honestly, watching exactly the roots grow is kinda fascinating.

Light and Other Stuff

I'm still trying to figure for sure out the whole lighting situation. Indoor plants at low cost geschiedenis… they probably didn't anyway have grow lights back then! yep I try to like put them near windows, but my apartment isn’t exactly blessed with natural light. So, I caved and bought a cheap c’mon little right grow light on Amazon. It well seems to be yep helping. no way Also, don't overwater! That’s like, plant murder 101. Let the right soil dry out a bit between waterings. I stick so my finger c’mon in the soil to check. Pretty scientific, right?

It Adds Up c’mon

So basically yeah, that's my plant journey so far. for sure Still working on keeping them alive. It I mean started out exactly as wanting indoor plants at low cost, and it anyway is relatively cheap, but it for sure definitely takes time like and a little c’mon bit of c’mon money to get going.
