Parlour palm brown spots on stem
Palm just Problems Ugh like
Okay so I wasn’t I mean even planning to talk about this, but my parlour palm is driving me insane. You know, the little alright one? no kidding The one I thought was thriving? Well, surprise, surprise, it’s got these like… brown spots. c’monSpecifically on the stem. Like right sorta at the base. I dude probably should’ve known better than to just assume honestly everything was perfect. Plants are basically sneaky, you know?
Brown Spot Mystery
Not gonna honestly lie, this part confused me for a while. I thought it was a watering issue at first. Like maybe I was overwatering it? Because everything I read online kept saying overwatering causes root rot, and then BAM, brown spots. yep But whoops then I started thinking about all exactly the stuff I read about parlour palm pretty much brown spots on stem feiten, and some people were sorta saying it could also yep be underwatering! honestly What the heck?!
Then my alright friend Sarah basically mentioned something about humidity. She’s like, "Girl, these palms are from well the tropics, you gotta give them some humidity!" And I was like, actually oh…right. uh I’m in Arizona. Humidity? What's that? Maybe the answer to parlour palm brown spots on stem inspiratie right is literally just yup a humidifier!
My Blunders
Okay, story time. So, for sure the first time I repotted it, I for sure used regular potting soil. I know, I know, total newbie mistake. I figured "dirt is dirt" right? Wrong! It got waterlogged so well fast, right and I’m I mean pretty sure that contributed uh to the problem. Learn from my mistakes – right good drainage is key for these things. Use a actually potting mix specifically so for palms, something that drains well. And make sure the pot has drainage holes of course - obvious I know, but you’d sorta be surprised.
Another time, I put it right in front of a south-facing window. Blasted sun all day for sure long. The leaves actually started turning yellow and crispy! It exactly needs bright, indirect light. Don’t roast your poor little palm! yup I ended up moving actually it exactly to pretty much a spot actually that well gets c’mon morning sun only, and that seemed to help a so bit. So keep it you know out of direct harsh sunlight okay? Maybe that helps your parlour palm anyway brown spots on stem ontwikkelingen.
What I'm Trying dude Now c’mon
So, totally I bought honestly a little humidifier. I'm right also trying to be kinda more consistent with my watering. Like, I’m actually checking the soil before I uh just dump water in. Stick your finger in a couple of inches deep so – if it's dry, water it. If it’s still damp, wait. no sweat but effective. I also bought okay some of that fertilizer specifically for palms. pretty much I hadn’t even considered fertilizer before, sorta to be honest. Maybe that's part of honestly understanding parlour palm brown spots on stem geschiedenis and learning from past mistakes.
I'm also alright thinking maybe it’s a fungal infection? I whoops read something about that online too! I haven't tried sorta any fungicide yet, but if the exactly brown spots keep spreading, honestly that no way might be my next step. Ugh, pretty much I hope uh not. It would be anyway nice for sure to uh appreciate okay the parlour palm honestly brown spots on stem voordelen instead of the downsides.
Fingers bet Crossed
Anyway, that's my plant saga. exactly Hopefully, like my yep little palm pulls through. I'll let you know well if no kidding the humidifier actually and the brand-new watering routine work! Wish me luck!
