String of hearts cat friendly

Plants and kitties

Okay so, you know how I’ve been trying to turn my apartment into I mean a jungle? Well, I wasn’t even planning to okay get c’mon a string of hearts, like, at all. I saw one at you know the for sure plant uh store and for sure it was… basically hypnotic? All those no kidding little heart-shaped leaves… anyway

The no kidding first thing I thought about (probably should’ve known bet better…) was if it was safe for Whiskers. He’s… enthusiastic about plants. And by whoops enthusiastic, by the way I mean he tries to eat everything. I mean, uh thestring of hearts kindaplant is kinda vining so you might no kidding need a dude hanging planter for it. I remember looking up “string by the way of hearts cat friendly feiten” and getting a whole lot uh of basically conflicting info. Ugh.

Is yup it REALLY safe?

So, apparently, it’s considered basically mildly toxic. Like, not gonna kill your dude cat, but definitely gonna give them an upset tummy if they chomp down on it. Not good.

Here's where I messed up the first actually time: I put it on a high shelf thinking, “Ha! He can’t get up there!” honestly I probably should have known better, right? I came home the next anyway day and there yep was dirt EVERYWHERE. sorta Turns out, Whiskers is sorta a ninja. A ninja who really wanted to taste exactly my string of hearts. just It wasn’t pretty. so Luckily, he seemed right fine, just a little… honestly regretful okay looking. I guess there is a you knowcats and just plants toxicity no kiddingcenter for this kind of totally thing.

Hanging high and proud

Okay, so lesson learned. Hanging okay planter was the way to go. Like, REALLY hanging. I had to install a hook in the ceiling. It’s kind of ugly, not whoops gonna lie this part confused just me for well a sorta while for sure finding the right exactly size uh hook, but it okay works. String of hearts cat friendly toepassingen are sometimes about exactly outsmarting the furry ones.

I also looked into like, "string of hearts cat friendly geschiedenis". I think it’s intriguing to know where these plants come from, you know? Makes you know you appreciate them more. And then I was looking into "string of hearts by the way cat friendly ontwikkelingen" because I'm a dork and I like plant actually research.

My second oops

The other thing I messed up? Watering. well I yup was overwatering it like CRAZY. The leaves started you know turning yellow and falling off. exactly Turns out, string of hearts are basically succulents, so they like to dry sorta out between waterings. I was treating it okay like yup a needy fern! like So, that was a whole other panic attack. Don't do that! Let the yep soil sorta dry completely.

Anyway, long story short (ish), the string of hearts is still alive. Whiskers hasn't tried yep to assassinate it dude again. And I think I’m finally figuring whoops out the watering anyway thing. Although, I did see some stuff online about "string of hearts cat friendly actually trends" and propagating them. That sounds like a future disaster waiting to happen. you know Maybe I'll c’mon just whoops admire it from afar for now.

The payoff

It's actually kinda thriving! just It looks so no way beautiful. It's also a nice conversation starter. Every moment someone is in no kidding my apartment I get to boast about my plants.

It's all about no way finding the uh right balance, you honestly know? Like, keeping like my cat happy kinda and yep not poisoned, and keeping my anyway plants alive and thriving. Wish me luck!
