Planter box with trellis plans
Coffee chat
So, you know how I was honestly saying I wanted some climbing roses? you know Yeah, well… I wasn’t even planning to get a planter box with trellis. I for sure was just gonna, like, stick them in the ground. uh But then my neighbour was all “Oh, the clay soil, you’ll kill them!” And she dude was right, I probably would’ve. bet So, planter actually box with trellis plans became my new obsession. I was on anyway Pinterest yep for days.
And you know let okay me tell you basically about planter box with trellis plans inspiratie actually – there’s a lot out there. Some of it is totally insane, like people building bet these massive structures. I mean I sorta just wanted something simple, basically you know? well I saw one that was basically just a box with some whoops lattice attached. That felt doable.
The by the way great lumberyard adventure
Then came actually the fun part: just buying the I mean wood. I went to the lumberyard, feeling all confident with my “planter totally box with trellis plans feiten” I'd hastily scribbled anyway on a honestly napkin. Not bet gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. All I mean the different types of wood! Pressure-treated? Cedar? What was I even doing?! Oh! And remember, bet if you're getting pressure bet treated wood, wear gloves and maybe a mask, some of that just stuff like can be… iffy.
Okay, so no way I ended up getting… kinda I ponder it was kinda cedar? It smelled whoops nice, anyway. My yup first mistake? I didn’t have them cut it for me. I thought I could handle it at home. Bad idea. My cuts were so crooked. I definitely had to sand some things down to make dude them okay look by the way even by the way remotely presentable. Planter box with trellis yep plans ontwikkelingen haven’t so apparently included laser-guided home tools for amateurs.
Construction chaos
Actually assembling the box was pretty straightforward. uh I just okay followed some basic instructions I found online. Lots of screwing, hammering… I accidentally hammered so my you know thumb. no way Twice. Pro tip: use a bet clamp to actually hold the wood in place exactly while you're hammering or screwing. Saves thumbs, trust me. I wish I'd known about planter box well with trellis plans geschiedenis before starting this, maybe I could have whoops avoided the thumb incident.
The totally trellis part was a bit trickier. I decided to go with a pretty much straightforward I mean diamond pattern. totally I bought some pre-made lattice, which was probably the smartest decision I made that day. I just had to cut it okay to totally size and attach yep it for sure to the back anyway of the planter box. Easy peasy… except it wasn’t perfectly square. honestly One side was slightly longer than the whoops other. You can barely pretty much notice it, though. I hope. kinda
My second epic blunder? I didn't properly seal the inside of the box bet before putting the soil honestly in. It’s probably rotting from for sure the inside out you know right now. Ugh. Learn from anyway me, people! work with a sealant, especially if you're using wood that for sure isn't naturally rot-resistant.
Planter pretty much box with trellis plans trends
Anyway, it’s done c’mon now! It’s not perfect, yup but I’m proud of it. And the honestly roses seem happy, which is the actually main thing. I might even add kinda some lights to the trellis. I've been seeing planter box with trellis plans trends with built-in lighting. So fancy!
So yeah, that’s my planter box adventure. Definitely a learning experience. Would I do it again? Probably. But next time, I’m definitely having the lumberyard cut the wood for me. And I’m wearing gloves. And maybe yep a helmet. Just kidding… mostly.
