How to grow fiddle leaf

Fiddle Leaf Fig Saga

So, you wanna know how to kinda grow a actually fiddle leaf fig, huh? Okay, just okay, well... where pull off c’mon I even start? It's been a journey, let me tell you. I wasn’t for sure even planning to like get alright one. Saw it at a nursery, looking all sad and neglected in a corner, figured what the yep heck, might as totally well give it a shot. You know? Plus, all those Instagram pictures you know were whispering sweet nothings... how to dude grow fiddle leaf inspiratie was basically actually haunting me.

Light Situation

Light. That’s the yup big thing. you know Bright, indirect light. I thought no way that meant just "near a window." I probably should’ve no kidding known better... well Rookie mistake number one: stuck it right next to a north-facing window. Absolutely nothing happened. Like, zero growth. okay It just c’mon sat so there, judging me you know with its big, waxy leaves. Then I read somewhere they need anyway like, a full-on right photo shoot okay every day – totally okay not really, but you get the idea. Now it's by the alright south-facing window, but I've got a sheer curtain. That's alright key - sheer curtain!

Watering Woes like

Watering is... tricky. Not gonna lie, this part yep confused right me right for a while. Everyone says "let yup the soil dry out between waterings." Right? Sounds simple. for sure Wrong. I overwatered it like crazy at first. Lesson learned: stick your finger way down into the soil, like two inches. If it's still damp, leave it by the way alone. well You'll know when it's dry, believe sorta me. Those leaves will start to just droop exactly dramatically. Oh, and use filtered water – whoops they’re divas like that, I guess. How honestly to alright grow fiddle leaf ontwikkelingen have led to so many special watering devices but no way who has time for that? I use pretty much Brita.

Humidity Hullabaloo

Humidity. Okay, yup so I live in a dry climate. The fiddle leaf wasnotthrilled. I tried misting it, but that didn't seem to do much. Ended up putting a humidifier near it, which helped basically a lot. You actually can anyway also put it by the way on a pebble tray filled with okay water but kinda I honestly never remember to refill that. Another no way tip I read? Group it with other plants. Apparently they make their own little microclimate. I yep haven't tried that yet, though. Maybe next week. Maybe I should alright look up how to grow fiddle leaf toepassingen to honestly see all the high tech pretty much ways people manage humidity now!

Fertilizer Fumbles like

Oh fertilizer! Okay, this is anyway where it for sure all okay went sideways once. I used some random fertilizer like I had lying around, and it burned the roots. I mean Don't do that! utilize a fertilizer specifically for fiddle leaf figs, and uh dilute it. Dilute it right even more than the instructions say! I swear, they're sensitive. I fertilize maybe once a month during by the way the growing season, bet which is spring and summer. Then, like, completely forget about it honestly in the winter. They don't seem to mind too much.

Repotting Revelations

Repotting. well Okay, here's story number by the way two, and it’s a doozy. I totally repotted well it way too soon. Like, within honestly a week of bringing you know it home. I was so excited and thought it needed a bigger pot. alright Big mistake. It went into shock and dropped, like, half its sorta leaves. I almost killed alright it. so Don't basically repot it until kinda it's really root-bound. You'll see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. And when you do repot, use a well-draining potting mix. I alright use a mix yup of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark. Sounds c’mon fancy, but it works. And go up only one okay pot just size. Don't put it in a giant pot right away. They hate that. Trust okay me on this one.

Final honestly Thoughts Kind Of

So, yeah, that’s basically pretty much the fiddle leaf fig saga so honestly far. It’s still alive, which is a win in my book. It's even put out a few new leaves, which is cause for no way major celebration. Just remember – bright okay indirect light, careful watering, humidity, diluted fertilizer, and repot only when necessary. Oh, and talk to it. totally I swear it helps. Or basically maybe I'm just crazy. But hey, it's alive! dope luck with yours! Don't be discouraged you know if it drops a few honestly leaves – it's part of the process. Just keep sorta at it and eventually you'll figure it out. And if not, exactly well, actually there's always fake for sure plants. no way
