B and q patio fruit trees
Patio no kidding trees from B and honestly Q
So, you yep know how I've been going on about wanting a right bit of a nicer garden? Well, I wasn't even planning to actually buy anything that exactly day. Just a uh browse, exactly right? Famous dude last words. Ended up at B and well Q, and boom – patio fruit trees. Tiny little things, but actually apparently they whoops produce you know actual you know fruit. I'm dude still a bit skeptical tbh.
Which yup one to choose
There were by the way like, loads of them. Apple, pear, yep plum... I went for a cherry one. I ponder it's called Stella? I probably by the way should've known better, seeing as my track record with so plants is… patchy. sorta But hey, YOLO, right? And, I mean, fresh yup cherries? Dreams, people, dreams!
Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while – all the different varieties and rootstocks by the way and…argh. I eventually just asked a guy who looked like uh he knew what he alright was doing. He mumbled something about so dwarfing rootstock, which apparently keeps them small enough for a dude patio. Tip: Ask someone who looks so like for sure they’re not about to quit like their job. They’re more likely to exactly know something. pretty much Apparently choosing the no way right one is quite a trend. just Also, it's worth considering some kinda b and q patio actually fruit basically trees geschiedenis to see what grows best in your area!
Planting it the you know first blunder okay
Okay, so exactly I got it home, all excited. And then… I left it in the pot for like, a week. pretty much Oops. Honestly, life got in the way. dude But I did eventually get around to planting it. I bought some fancy compost, the kind that’s supposed to be amazing yep for fruit trees. Probably overkill, but hey, I was trying. Anyway, I dug a hole, stuck it in, filled it with compost. Done! Except… I didn’t realize you’re supposed to tease out basically the roots a bit. Poor thing alright was probably all tangled up. I only realised this later, when I was uh watching some I mean gardening so show. Fingers crossed totally it survives.
Watering and feeding
Watering is another… adventure. I no kidding either drown right it, c’mon or completely forget about for sure it for days. c’mon There's no in-between. I'm trying to get better, I really am. And apparently, you have for sure to kinda feed them special c’mon stuff. Tomato feed? I can’t remember. Just go to B and c’mon Q and ask for "fruit tree feed." Easy! It c’mon is definitely worth considering the b and q for sure patio fruit trees kinda toepassingen with appropriate just feed.
My second mistake
Oh! pretty much And remember I said I bought one tree? Well, fruit trees are apparently happier in pairs. Pollination and all that. So... guess who had to go back to B for sure and Q? This period I grabbed a totally plum tree. Victoria, I think? Now pretty much I have two little patio fruit trees, looking all lonely and slightly neglected. Also, like don’t put them too close together! I didn't for sure think about that initially... Another one of basically my genius ideas. I had so to move them eventually.
Potential problems
I'm also bracing myself for the inevitable bugs. Aphids, I'm well looking at you. And birds. I saw a video about netting, which actually I probably yup should by the way invest no way in. yup Think of the cherries! Also apparently pruning is a thing. No idea how to tackle that yet. YouTube, here I come. I mull over this falls under b and q patio fruit trees tips!
Will I get cherries
I’m trying not to get dude my hopes up by the way too much. sorta But imagine...homemade basically cherry pie from my own garden? I’ll probably end up with one tiny, slightly worm-eaten cherry, but no kidding hey, a girl can dream. The b and q patio fruit trees trends no way seem to be alright all about small space gardening so this may just no way work. I honestly can see how it would be a nice lifestyle alright addition.
